Still one month to go but I think I can do a wrap up on my reading from this year already.
Currently reading my 58th book of the year The Last Murder at the End of the World. So far loving it. You can never go wrong with a Stuart Turton novel.
I completed a book bingo with no free square and 16 themes. I challenged myself to reading 12 nonfictions in order to complete one square. Of course the following are all my personal opinions on these books.
5 word title: A Little History of Archaeology. Recommended as a beginner history book. Bite sized chapters of different archaeological finds around the world.
Has a map: The Art Thief. Highly recommend.
Won an award: Orbital. One of my favorite books of the year and that I have ever read.
Two authors: Magic Burns. Not the first in the series, worth reading.
Cozy read: Finlay Donnovan is Killing It. I am picky about cozy romances so I am not sure I can 100% recommend this but it is entertaining.
Local Author: Lust, Love, and Pixie Dust. Very much not recommended.
Friend Recommendation: Ella Minnow Pea– Not recommended.
Page to Screen: Say Nothing. Please read the book first and then watch the mini series. Both are absolutely worth it but in the mini series one important part is missing.
Debut Author: Hammajang Luck. Recommended for a fun and fast read.
Epistolary: 84, Charring Cross Road. Recommended for a sweet story between strangers.
Dual POV: From Here to Eternity. An okay book but some of the wording was too flowery.
New Release: Enchantra. Recommended because it is entertaining and a sweet enough romance that was well written.
Book Club Pick: Remarkably Bright Creatures. It is on so many lists of best books to read, but I was bored for most of it.
On TBR for more than 2 years: Thirteen Ways of Looking. Short stories by one of my favorite authors. Recommended.
Favorite Author: The Dutch House. Recommended but my sister did not like it.
