I inadvertently went to a lot of bookstores because my friend ended up getting sick half way through our trip.
- Hatchards- located in Picadilly. Known for being the oldest bookstore in London. Founded in the 18th century.
- Doesn’t look as old as you would expect. So many choices.
- Right next to the flagship Fortnum and Mason store.
- Foyles- located in Charing Cross. Known for having 5 floors!
- I gasped when I walked in. I had no idea it was going to be so big.
- I found one of my favorite books with a UK cover in it. Did you know that the U.S and the UK books have different cover designs?
- Daunt Books- located in Marylebone High Street. Known to cater to travelers.
- One of the most impressive bookstores I have been in honestly. Part of it is organized by a part of the world. For example there was a section for the US, and different countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. They also have a regular fiction and non-fiction section.
- Brick Lane Bookshop- located near the Brick Lane Vintage Market.
- Everyone should go to the book store AND the vintage market.
- Has a nice collection of new releases and books about London.
