I have been extremely lucky to go to a lot of bookstores this year so I thought I would do a post on them. I have decided it is easier to separate them by location to make it easier. So first up is New York, which I went to in March for a girl’s trip. Unless the bookstore was terrible I will not be giving a critique. You will just have to explore them for yourselves!
Found on a post-it-note: Girls trips and Books are Restoring to the Soul.
- The Ripped Bodice- located in Brooklyn. Known for being a romance bookstore.
- Visited with two friends who were wonderful enough to indulge my desire to go to a romance bookstore that I found on social media.
- Very well curated and worth the trek to Brooklyn.
- Book Club Bar- located in the East Village. Independent bookstore known for also serving cocktails, beer, wine, and coffee.
- Friend’s brother recommended it. Wanted to spend more time in it but had to go to brunch.
- Strand Bookstore- located on Broadway in NY, NY. Known for 18 miles of books and an amazing selection of used books.
- Spent many hours inside on a rainy day with my friend, who happens to have been to this store many times and loves it.
- Posman Books- located in Chelsea Market
- My friend and I were also there on the same rainy day as the other bookstore. She ended up buying a very cute tote bag. We were very tired so we couldn’t explore as much as we wanted to.
